System Requirements ----------------------- 1) Intel Pentium CPU, or 100% compatible. 2) Sound Blaster sound card. 3) TNT Graphics Accelerator. 4) 32 MB Memory (64 MB Recommended). 5) DirectX 6.1 or later. ---------------------------- 2. Installation and Removal ---------------------------- This installation is not removable in any general sense. Once DirectX is installed, it cannot be removed by any straightforward method. Since this program should not be run on a system that already has Glide functionality, there is no reason to un-install the added Glide features -- they are doing no harm if they aren't being used. -------------------------------- 3. New Features In This Release -------------------------------- 1) Several blend modes have been added. 2) General bug fixes. 3) Support for Narrow Channel Compression texture formats has been added. 4) Linear Frame Buffer bug fixes. ------------------- 4. Driver Features ------------------- This driver intercepts Glide2X calls and translates them to Direct3D calls. This driver takes full advantage of the functionality of TNT based cards, including single-pass multitexturing. ---------------------------------- 5. Known Issues With This Release ---------------------------------- 1) Texturing Errors. Occasionally textures will not appear, or will be truncated. 2) Depth buffering precision errors. Because the 16-bit depth buffer formats of Voodoo and TNT based card are different, precision errors will occasionally occur. 3) Bugs with NCC textures.
